Privacy Policy

This policy covers the ZTC Coaching companion app, used by clients training with Zak at ZTC Coaching, St Albans. It explains what information the app collects, why, and who can see it — written in plain English, not legal filler.
What the app collects
- Account details — your name and email address, used to sign in and identify you to your coach.
- Health and fitness data — workout logs, sets and reps, body weight, body measurements, steps, calories and macros, and your own energy/effort ratings from check-ins.
- Progress photos — photos you choose to upload with weekly check-ins, stored privately and visible only to you and your coach.
- Onboarding details — your goals, training experience, injury history and an emergency contact, collected once when you join.
- Messages — the content of messages sent between you and your coach in the app.
- Push notification token — a device identifier used only to deliver notifications to you (e.g. new messages, coach feedback).
What the app does not collect
The app does not access your location, contacts, browsing history, advertising identifiers, or payment information. Face ID data and calendar access, where used, never leave your device — the app only asks the device to confirm your identity or add an event; it never sees or stores the biometric data itself.
How your data is used
Your data is used only to run the coaching relationship: showing you your programme, letting your coach review your progress and respond to you, and sending you relevant notifications. It is never used for advertising.
Who can see it
Only your linked coach can see your training and check-in data. Supabase, the infrastructure provider behind the app, processes data on ZTC Coaching's behalf and does not use it for any other purpose. Your data is never sold or shared with third parties.
Storage and security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is enforced at the database level so accounts can only ever reach their own data or, for coaches, the data of their own linked clients. Progress photos are stored in a private bucket, accessible only via short-lived signed links.
Retention and deletion
Your data is kept for as long as you're an active client. To request deletion of your account and data, contact Zakcanning15@icloud.com — requests are actioned within 30 days.
Your rights (UK GDPR)
You can ask to:
- See a copy of the data held about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data
- Export your data
- Withdraw consent to processing at any time

Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the update date at the top of this page will change accordingly.
